The BC Wedding Awards are near and dear to our hearts as they are the first awards we started working towards, more than four years ago now. We’ll be the first to admit that it has taken A LOT of hard work and perseverance. After two years without placing, we were happy to make it as a finalist for Best Wedding Group Photograph in 2012, which fueled our fire to learn more and work even harder in the 2013 season. Being out of the country for the 2013 Awards Gala (when the results were released) we sent our friend Yuriko from Vintage Origami to stand in the gap for us in case our name was called. And it was! FOUR times actually; Winner for Best Candid/Photojournalism Photograph, Winner for Best Portrait: Bride and Groom Together, Finalist for Best Wedding Group Photograph, and Finalist for Best Overall Wedding Photography.
