Who is Abby Photography?
We are Chris & Elisha Stewart, the husband and wife team that brings Abby Photography to life. We are primarily wedding photographers who were both awarded JuneBug Weddings Best of the Best in 2013, are the top two Fearless Photographers in British Columbia and ranked 1st Place wedding photographer in Canada by PWPC. We try to push the boundaries of wedding photography and create images with impact.

Get ready to create dynamic images, have your work stand out from the crowd, and take your photography to the next level by attending an Abby Workshop. We, Chris & Elisha will be hosting a photography workshop in the beautiful Okanagan. Our goal, whether you are a wedding or family photographer, is to bring your images to a new creative level and teach you how to produce compelling photographs no matter what situation is presented to you.
Participation is limited in order to maintain an intimate learning environment and quality experience for each attendee.
Meals and accommodations will be provided for each student, so all you have to do is arrive and come ready to learn.
What happens at an Abby Photography Workshop?
This workshop will be a jam-packed 2 1/2 days of mastering your craft. When you complete this workshop we will have given you the tools to create images that will have your clients bragging about their photos to all of their friends. You will learn how to see light in a new way, take images from creative vantage points, and how to use your camera in order to produce the results you envision. During these few days, our attention is all yours. We hold no secrets as we focus on teaching you how to create dynamic, creative, and out of the box photography.
Topics you can expect from this workshop:
Light – highlights, using light, anticipating light, shooting techniques for different lighting environments, and off camera lighting.
Moments – improving photojournalism, moments to watch for on a wedding day that will pleasantly surprise your clients if you catch, and fostering an environment for moments during photo shoots.
Composition – how to take a photograph to the next level, traps: when to use them and when to watch out for them, and characteristics of an eye-catching image.
Homework – How we get the most out of every photography session.
After the Shutter – Make your images the best they can be and process them to stand out above the rest.
Assignments you can expect from this workshop:
In house and on location practice of techniques.
Image analysis and critique of each photographer’s work.
Night photography demonstration, shooting with stars. And so much more!
WHEN & WHERE IS THE NEXT ABBY PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP?
The workshop will take place May 27-29, 2014 (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). It will commence on the the afternoon of May 27th, 2014 and following over 20 hours of intense learning, will complete on the afternoon of the 29th.
We are excited to announce that the next Abby Workshop will be held at the luxurious Durali Villa in Vernon, BC. Each student will have their own suite with a private bathroom and fireplace. Lectures will be held in a comfortable mini theatre.
How do I register for the next Abby Photography Workshop?
Investment for the workshop is $2300 (plus 5% GST). Same studio and associate rates are available for people wishing to share a suite. Please inquire for more information.
Each participant will receive 2 1/2 days packed full of photography lessons and hands on learning, 2 nights stay at Durali Villa in a private suite, and all meals included. Students are responsible for travel to and from the Villa.
